Free MLM Advertising - A Sure-Fire Strategy

It takes thought and planning, but you can get some very effective free MLM advertising if you plan well and execute this strategy.

First, it's very easy to get a press released published in your small, local paper. Those papers are hungry for articles about great accomplishments of local residents. So your hometown paper is the perfect place to take advantage of your local connection ... as long as it's a small paper.

When you start, remember that what your local newspaper editor REALLY wants is local news that will really benefit his subscribers in some way. Plus - it absolutely must be NEWS! You can't write up a sales letter and have any hope of getting it published for free anywhere.

Instead, focus on:



Newsworthiness - something new, timely or useful now. Can you connect it to some current news event?


Objective tone - any hint of sales, and your piece will not be published. Best bet is to give away some valuable freebie.


Relevance - make it obvious - in the headline - why this news is relevant to the paper's readers


Short - one side of 1 sheet of paper, double-spaced. Maybe 450 words total.

Include a photograph and mail the package to the paper.

Your news release will get published in your local paper. In fact, they may even want to interview you ... if you really catch their attention. My local weekly published my first press release ... and then published it again, 6 months later - I guess, on a slow news day!

And then you have free MLM advertising - a published article about you, with some attention-grabbing angle. Next step is to leverage this article. Send a clip of the article along with a cover letter and your news Release to the largest daily metropolitan papers within a couple hundred miles. Be sure to call first and find out who the correct editor is (probably the business editor). Get their name and let them know you're sending your package.

These editors get a ton of press releases. But when you include the clipping from your local paper, you get instant credibility. The big boys figure that if the local paper thought so much of your story ... maybe they should, too ... maybe THEIR readers will ALSO be attracted to it.

And then you are really cashing in!
