Free White Pages For Cell Phone Numbers - Is There One For the USA? There's Good News and Bad News!

If you do a Google search for "Trace Cell Phone Numbers", there will be hundreds, if not thousands of internet companies that say they do it for free. But when you actually go to these so called 'free' sites, you find out that they only give some really limited pieces of information for free like the service provider and the region.

White pages for Cell Phones? - Even though the white pages will do a free reverse phone lookup for land numbers, a comparable service doesn't exist for mobile numbers. Whether free or not, there exists no national or regional level wireless phone book in this country.

Two reasons - One reason is that, it is not simple to assemble such a phone book because there there are about 275 million wireless phone subscribers belonging to various wireless carriers in the USA. A second reason is cell phone user privacy. Mobile numbers are often considered as personal information, unlike land numbers.

This is bad news - It's bad news in a way because this is why you can't get a cellular number reverse lookup done for free. However, the good news is that this protects our privacy much more than we will ever find out.

Most services are very expensive - If you have searched the internet at all you would have seen that the cost for a reverse telephone directory lookup goes up to $69 - $99. However you should avoid such websites because you can get the same information for much cheaper. In fact one of these expensive sites takes up to 2-3 days to give you an answer.

Facebook News Feed Changes

Facebook has made some recent changes to how they handle your news feed. Technology is ever changing and it seems that you can just never keep up. It's like a game of cat and mouse. Once you get comfortable with something it changes!

So you have worked hard to find and add old friends that you haven't heard from in years or maybe you have found new friends with common interest on Facebook and suddenly you don't see any activity from them in your new feed.

The reason is because Facebook has changed the default for your news feed. I'm not sure when this change happened, but now the default is for you to only get in your feed, items from friends whom you have recently interacted with. That means that all of those friends that you have found, you could quickly forget about again because you are not seeing any activity from them.

Changing your Facebook news feed back

Fortunately, this is a easy problem to remedy. To change your news feed back to the way that it originally was all you have to do is to log into your Facebook account and click the HOME button first. There, at the top of the page you will see an option that says MOST RECENT. Click on MOST RECENT and you will see EDIT OPTIONS... Click on EDIT OPTIONS and you will see something in bold at the top that says: Show posts from:

This is where you want the option reset. It will be defaulted to 'Friends and pages you interact with most'. You can change it here back to 'All of your friends and pages'. Then you will once again get news from all of your friends.

On the other hand...

There is always two side to every story. What about those friends that you really didn't want to friend in the first place. You don't want to unfriend them because that may hurt their feelings and let them know that you truly don't want to be Facebook friends with any way. Well, this is your saving grace. The new default for the Facebook feed will leave them out of your status updates and you out of theirs if you don't communicate directly with them.

Since, you are trying to find an easy way to get out of this unwanted relationship, it's a good change that you won't. So in this case you might want to thank Facebook for making these changes to their news feed and helping you out.

Dell Online Job Application

Dell is one of the biggest computer maker in the U.S and Canada. When it comes to buying a computer, flat screen, or a laptop, the first name that comes to mind is Dell. I personally have a Dell computer and a personal laptop and I absolutely love them.

Now, if you are looking into finding a job with Dell, then the best thing for you to do is to go online and fill an application. You can go to your local Dell office to do this, but it will be much faster and more convenient for you to fill one on the Internet through their website Career Center.

When you are at their website Career Center, you will find categories like Job Search, Working at Dell, Career paths, and more.

To get started with an online job application to Dell, you will basically need to go to their Career website and fill an application out. You can do this from the comfort of your own home computer and if you don't have a computer at home then you can go to you local library and do it from there. If you have a relative that has a computer then you can ask them if you can come over and to this from their computer.

Now, if Dell advertises a professional job in a place like the newspaper, then you will probably have to send in a resume. Update your resume and send it to them through email or through regular mail.

Once you fill out the job application, you will need to read the legal disclaimer and what you are signing up to. Make sure that you read and fill out all the necessary information there so that you don't miss anything. This is very important.

Usually a form will ask you where you want to apply to in terms of location and what position you are applying for. You will also need to provide them with 2 job references. Every job out there that you apply for will ask you for 2 references so make sure that you have this before you apply for a job at Dell.

Before you hit the "submit" button, make sure to double check everything.

Start from the top of the application and go through each one slowly. If you made a small mistake, correct it. Give yourself another 10 minutes to go through everything. After you hit the "Submit" button, give Dell a few days to contact you. If after 4 days you don't hear anything from anyone there, follow up with the person who is doing the hiring. Visit Dell's Career website for more information.

Free Obituary Search Tips - How to Find Obituaries Online Without Paying a Dime!

Trying to find public records, like an obituary listings, can be a trying process if you are not familiar with where to look, or what resources are available. Here are some places to get started:

Newspaper obituaries

There are a couple of options on how to search for a newspaper obituary. Going to different newspapers or libraries to look at microfilm, is a little unreasonable. In the late 90's, most newspapers started to digitize their obituaries, so that they can easily be found on the newspapers home site. However, the archives are often limited in dates. Most newspaper home sites do not have any obituaries listed prior to the late 90s.

Libraries and Universities have wonderful online archives that are comprised from several resources. There you will find a search engine with multiple listings for old and new obituaries.

Then there are online search portals like Ancestry.com. that provide a one stop shop. Search portals will automatically redirect you to other sites. You will not have to type each site into your browser. The National Obituary Archive has over 55 million obituary entries, making it one of the largest newspaper obituary archives.

Genealogy Banks

The LDS church has one of the largest genealogy record databases in the world. Genealogy records provide: birth dates, death dates, and family history information. Be careful here, the spelling must be exact. It is completely free to search. The dates are not limited. The LDS records have listings as far back as people have been able to trace their genealogy.

There are multiple other genealogy banks, but most of them draw their information from the LDS site, or newspapers.

Social Security Death Index

Search engines like Locate Records.com or Roots web provide you with a tool to search by name or social security number. If you use a name, the site will list all the people by that name, their state, death, birth, SS#, and where the info was retrieved from. The Search is free, but to order the record carries a small fee. Most of these are using the Social Security Death Index, which only has records after the 60s.

These should get you off to a good start for an online obituary search.

Online Communication Tools

The precise details of the history of blogging are not entirely agreed upon, beyond that the medium as we are currently most familiar with began around 1996 and involved the regular posting of 'items' in reverse chronological order on a webpage (Blood 2000).

It is this visual representation, incorporating other such features as links, comments, taglines, archives, permanent links, blogrolls and more which has largely dominated discussion about the nature of blogs and their potential use.

While these features are extremely significant aspects of what makes up a blog, arguably the most important developments in this area have had little to do with visual representation and form, and much more to do with the facility for the development of individual digital identity and an XML language known as RSS.

Through blog technologies now available, individuals are able to simply represent themselves online and as an abbreviation of either 'RDF Site Summary' or 'Really Simple Syndication', RSS allows users to literally subscribe to a web page and receive complete or summarised new content.

This can be done either through an application similar to an email inbox known as a news aggregator or a web based environment most commonly described as a 'river of news' aggregator

Breaking News - Anti-Aging Tips For Men

Manila, Philippines

Consciousness to stay fit and be in good shape is one of the major issues being discussed worldwide. Men and women alike are aware that good health can only be achieved when everyone takes some daily regimen to keep oneself fresh, young-looking and free from any diseases.

To be healthy is no longer confined to simply exercising, eating balanced meal and quitting smoking. Skin care is part of the long list of making oneself beautiful and healthy. Women are usually more attentive in doing everything to take care of their physical appearance and prevent the onset of premature aging.

However, in recent years, more men are joining the bandwagon of health-conscious individuals as they seek ways of maintaining good physique and a tender, smooth-looking skin. Health experts have observed that young adults and aging men are getting at par with women when it comes to skin care. Some men are even so vain in maintaining their fresh outward appearance as these men were classified as "metrosexuals."

As this reality unfolds, old men become more educated and take a time out to understand how to slowdown the manifestations of aging like having wrinkles, age spots and some fine lines. Changes in lifestyle and habits have been seen among aging men to keep their good health and toned skin. Women are very much fascinated to see men starting to fix themselves better than the usual.

Generally, men need more anti-aging skin care than women because the skin types of men are more rugged and often ignored in childhood or during their younger days. For older men to look younger, they have to take major revisions in preventing the early signs of aging.

Facial and body cleansers and moisturizers, often used by most women, are also useful to men to tone down their manly skin texture. Men and women skin types are totally different. But the good news is many health companies have designed beauty products to respond to man's needs regarding personal hygiene and skin care.

Men have to undergo such daily habits of applying toners, lotions and cleansers if they really want to stay cool and fresh. Safeguarding the skin from too much dryness and dirt will play a major role in controlling wrinkles and fine lines. Dietary intake should also be monitored. A good set of meal with meat and vegetables will be beneficial in maintaining a healthy diet.

Exposure to the scorching heat of the sun may be remedied by applying moisturizers protecting the skin from irritation and pollution. Other anti-aging tips include having a good rest, exercising, living an active lifestyle with some social activities like sports may help rejuvenate your mind and tired muscles and regenerate new tissues.

A positive outlook about life also contributes to the anti-aging techniques. When one is always frowning and irritated, the facial lines become more apparent compared to those who are relaxed and always smiling.

In some extreme cases, some men are considering plastic surgery to trim down their old features and look younger.

Today's Current Unemployment Rate - Don't Let the News Paralyze Your Job Seeking Efforts

The current unemployment rate is staggering and the headlines are paralyzing. Americans are losing jobs at rates not seen for over 26 years. People are continuing to lose jobs and others cannot find them. With so much bad employment news on the horizon, this is not the time to sit back and let unfortunate things happen to your family. It is time to take household action. Now!

Here are some actions steps to get you moving toward some level of financial peace amidst the current unemployment rate.

1) If you are employed now, do the best you can to stay that way. Take on extra projects or get the job done faster. In other words, stand out against all other employees as a go-getter and valuable asset to a company who may have to lay off staff.

2) Update your resume weekly and keep some on hand. Whenever you come into contact with someone, you will be ready.

3) Have some business cards made up with your name and telephone number. If you go to sites like vistaprint.com, they generally have free business card specials; you just have to pay for shipping.

4) If there are rumors of a layoff, take the grapevine seriously. Start looking for other employment. Don't wait for the shoe to drop. If your company's financials are heading south, be proactive in finding employment in a financially healthier company.

5) Consider taking a class or get certification in employment areas where the layoffs are not as bad.

6) Have a household family meeting and discuss what each family member can do to help save or alleviate the household financial situation. Maid service may have to stop and the kids will have to pick up the extra chores. Music lessons may need to stop for a while. The family may have to reduce the number of cell phones or the premium cable channels will have to be shut off. Even the family dog will have to eat less fancy food. Whatever the case, when everyone in the family is sacrificing something, the family will come closer together to help solve potential problems.

7) Decide what approach you want to take your career. Make a list of your skills and how they transfer to other industries.

8) Consider starting a small online business as an adjunct to your current employment. By learning the skills necessary to market yourself and your business, you will be way ahead of the game when it comes to finding employment and starting a small venture.

9) Limit your intake of the media news. Everyone understands the current unemployment rate. Listening to devastating statistics every single day will only use up all the optimism you have.

10) Decide that you are going to take control of whatever economic situation you and your family is in. Being responsible now means economic peace in the future.

11) Lastly, network, network, network. Go to online forums, Twitter, LinkedIn and engage other people in or out of your industry. Get to know who they are. If you can, help others by alerting them to job opportunities. Helping others will help you two-fold.

It is not easy thinking about changing employment or an impending layoff. However, if and when it does happen, your chances of finding employment solutions are much, much greater. Good luck.

Free MLM Advertising - A Sure-Fire Strategy

It takes thought and planning, but you can get some very effective free MLM advertising if you plan well and execute this strategy.

First, it's very easy to get a press released published in your small, local paper. Those papers are hungry for articles about great accomplishments of local residents. So your hometown paper is the perfect place to take advantage of your local connection ... as long as it's a small paper.

When you start, remember that what your local newspaper editor REALLY wants is local news that will really benefit his subscribers in some way. Plus - it absolutely must be NEWS! You can't write up a sales letter and have any hope of getting it published for free anywhere.

Instead, focus on:

Newsworthiness - something new, timely or useful now. Can you connect it to some current news event?

Objective tone - any hint of sales, and your piece will not be published. Best bet is to give away some valuable freebie.

Relevance - make it obvious - in the headline - why this news is relevant to the paper's readers

Short - one side of 1 sheet of paper, double-spaced. Maybe 450 words total.

This tool that will help you build your press release:

http://www.ducttapemarketing.com/Instant-Press-Release.htm

Include a photograph and mail the package to the paper.

Your news release will get published in your local paper. In fact, they may even want to interview you ... if you really catch their attention. My local weekly published my first press release ... and then published it again, 6 months later - I guess, on a slow news day!

And then you have free MLM advertising - a published article about you, with some attention-grabbing angle. Next step is to leverage this article. Send a clip of the article along with a cover letter and your news Release to the largest daily metropolitan papers within a couple hundred miles. Be sure to call first and find out who the correct editor is (probably the business editor). Get their name and let them know you're sending your package.

These editors get a ton of press releases. But when you include the clipping from your local paper, you get instant credibility. The big boys figure that if the local paper thought so much of your story ... maybe they should, too ... maybe THEIR readers will ALSO be attracted to it.

And then you are really cashing in!

Find Someone: How To Find Someone Online For Free!

It's not uncommon for people to lose touch. Maybe you've been thinking about an old friend from school or someone you had a romantic relationship with. But when you look them up in the phone book, you realize they've moved away.

Perhaps they've even gotten married and changed their name. This can make finding someone you haven't seen in awhile quite challenging. Before the Internet, you didn't have very many options. You could hire a private investigator to track the person down or simply give up on ever finding them. These days, the World Wide Web can often serve as a free detective when it comes to locating that hard-to-find person.

First, you may want to go to two of the biggest search engines on the Web, Yahoo and Google. Yahoo offers a free people search and member directory. If you can't find who you're looking for here, head to Google.

The first thing you may do is Google the individual's name. If you're lucky, your search will end here. If not, there are other options. Maybe you have the person's telephone number. Simply enter it in 000-000-0000 format and click Search, and if available the name and address will be displayed. This is called a reverse phone search and it is a common method of finding people.

But what if you only have the email or street address of the person but want their telephone number? You can perform a reverse search using either the email or the street address at free sites like Anywho (http://www.anywho.com) and Infospace (http://www.infospace.com) Here you can enter whatever information that you do possess into the search box and submit for instant results. If no results are shown, there are still a few more free methods you can use to find someone.

Classmates (http://www.classmates.com) and Reunion (http://www.reunion.com) are popular gathering places for alumni of various high schools and colleges around the country. Facebook (http://www.facebook.com) is another site devoted to helping college students socialize and find one another. If you're looking for someone in the miliary, http://www.militaryconnections.com can help you find them.

As you can see, there are many different ways to find the person you're looking for. Most people can be located for free using the Internet. If you can't seem to find who you're looking for, you can certainly try searching local courthouse records for information or hiring a private investigator to assist you.

Free Movies Online

What do you think when you hear the phrase "free movies online"? Is it suspicion of copyright infringement, shadowy looking download sites, or excitement over the tremendous viewing possibilities? While the checkered past of free movies online has some people cautious, let's set the record straight about the right places to watch free movies online.

Some of the new players are Crackle, EPIX, Fancast, and SlashControl. Crackle is backed by Sony Pictures and has hundreds of free movies such as Ghostbusters, Godzilla, and St. Elmo's Fire. EPIX is the new movie site from Paramount, MGM, and Lionsgate, and is the perfect place to watch Ironman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and many more popular movies. Fancast is backed by the cable giant Comcast and has hundreds more movies, such as Chaplin, Captain America, and Naked Gun 2.5.

SlashControl was started by AOL TimeWarner, and has many more movies such as Sparticus, Ronin, and the classic western Hang 'em High. Those sites join the other mainstays of free movies, including Hulu, Veoh, and Joost. Even YouTube has jumped on the bandwagon and legally hosts free movies online, such as classic Shirley Temple films like The Little Princess and Heidi.

Several TV sites also have films online, including American Movie Classics (AMC), Syfy, ABC Family, and TNT. If you have a Netflix subscription, the Watch Instantly feature comes free for the Owner account. Top films to watch online include Wall-E, Bolt, The Nightmare Before Christmas, as well as the extensive list of STARZ play. So, if you are going to watch a movie on a computer, here are a few quick tips:

1. Turn the screen saver and power save features to longer than the length of the movie.
2. If watching via an inexpensive wireless router, like the ones AT&T U-Verse hands out for free, make certain the router is well ventilated, as extended viewing could cause some minor over-heating, causing the router to reset, thus causing the movie to take an unexpected intermission.
3. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy.

News Flash - Sore Knee Cap Leads to Sleepless Nights - How to Deal With the Pain - Special Report

Do you have sore knee caps?

Sometimes the pain for a sore knee cap is due to climbing or descending a set of stairs, or getting up from a seated position. Other times it is caused from sitting in a position where your knees are bent, and after hours of the same position, the pain can get to be really bad! - Can you relate to any of these scenarios?

These are all scenarios the involve daytime activities (unless you walk in your sleep) But what if you end up moving your legs into this same bent position while sleeping? Gosh, What a thought! The truth is you will end putting your knees through the same irritation they experience in your waking moments, but you might not even know it. - Many people do not think about this but the irritation can also build at night when you are not even really conscious of the problem.

This can result in a restless feeling wherein you will not get the sleep and rest that you need, and these days we all could use as much sleep as we can get! Moving around at night and allowing your knees to move into the same irritating position can actually result in additional irritation and could possibly worsen your pain issues you are having currently.

How Can I Help Control My Legs At Night?

The answer to this question will help ease the discomfort you have... Many times you can help control sore knee caps with a simple knee brace. These braces can help control your knee cap from deviating into painful and more unstable positions whether you are still awake or not.

Well designed knee braces are designed to move with the shape of the knee. They are helpful because they help restrict excessive positions where the pain comes due to misalignment. Some supports are more restrictive than others so it is always good to ask the brace provider for optimal brace for your needs.

Implementing the use of a knee brace both while sleeping and while awake has proven effective in alleviating many common pains and soreness that inflict so many people's knee caps. - Do not look back regretting what you could have done to help support your knee.

Question : Do you know how the soreness sets in for you? - We would like to know.

Herbert W Armstrong and Worldwide Church of God Mentioned in Israeli Newspaper

You could say I have a God-given love for the Jews and the nation of Israel (Isaiah 62:6-7). That sacred bond has been strengthened over the years by the fact that I've been blessed to have lived all over Israel, getting to know its land and people quite well.

Apart from 5 months as a kibbutz volunteer at Ramat Yohanan near Haifa, I've also served as a kibbutz volunteer at Sdot Yam on the Mediterranean, next to Caesarea, the site of my first ulpan (intensive Hebrew course), and where Israel's heroine, Hannah Senesh, was from; Regavim, near Zichron Yaakov, where I continued my Hebrew lessons amid its rolling green hills; Reshafim, near Bet She'an, with Mt. Gilboa practically in our backyard, and Jordan's mountains in lovely view out front; Adamit, on Lebanon's border, high up on a mountain, from where on clear days you can see all the way to Haifa's Mt. Carmel; Shoval, a rose in the Negev desert, just north of Be'er Sheva; Dan, way up in the northernmost part of Israel, in between Syria and Lebanon, next to the majestic snow-covered Mt. Hermon, where I was living when "Operation Desert Storm" blew in; and Ha'On, with its campground and ostrich farm on the eastern shores of the Sea of Galilee, across from Tiberias; and last but not least, my beloved Jerusalem, next to my favorite spot on earth: the Temple Mount.

It was during my sojourn at Kibbutz Ramat Yohanan, while looking for the home of the widow Simcha Gombo, a Worldwide Church of God member and mother of Michal (who was deaf) - both of whom I had briefly met during the 1980 Church of God celebration of the biblical Festival of Tabernacles in Jerusalem - that I met Ilan Itzhayek on the street and asked directions, as related in Israel Work History (Worldwide Church of God).

Ilan Itzhayek wrote the following full page article in Hebrew that appeared in Hed HaKiryot, a newspaper in Northern Israel, just West of the Sea of Galilee, November 19, 1982. Please note that David Hoover is the name I was born with before I legally changed it to David Ben-Ariel, and forgive the imperfect translation of the Hebrew into English in this attempt to preserve a part of the Church of God history in the Promised Land (and honor Ilan Itzhayek for helping to make it).

The Drug Addict Who Discovered God and the Kibbutz

by Ilan Itzhayek

His name is David Allen Hoover - he's 22 years old and was born in Toledo, Ohio, USA.

David, and other members of the Church he belongs to arrived in Israel last month as visitors in Jerusalem, but David stayed behind as a volunteer at Kibbutz Ramat Yohanan. He doesn't mind any of the work they give him to do - whether it's in the fields, in the factory or in the chicken incubators - he has ideals.

David belongs to a very special Church called the Worldwide Church of God - they call themselves the true Christians and consider the conventional Christians pagan. They believe in the Torah of Moses and observe Sabbath, as well as all the annual holy days mentioned in the Torah. They believe Jesus Christ is the Messenger of God. The Church has 100,000 brethren all over the world. A common belief they have is that they have been chosen by God to join the community of believers. Their leader is Herbert Armstrong, 91, whom they admire and consider that he's come in the spirit of Elijah.

David talks quite excitedly about his Church. He's very patient and ready to explain his convictions to you again if you haven't understood them. His answers are filled with verses from the Bible and the New Testament - verses that he knows by heart. He calls himself "chosen" because in his Church there isn't those "religious and not religious" - there's only the chosen. If you don't agree the Church doesn't want you - which means that God hasn't called you.

Scar in the Heart

David hasn't always been in the Church. He was raised on a farm in Ohio that belongs to his father's family. His parents were divorced when he was 11 years old. A year later his alcoholic father died at the early age of 36. "All I remember about my father," David says with a sort of bitter smile, "is that he was drunk and always messing up the house and arguing with my mom. He was always arguing with her. I was really young then so I really didn't even get to know him. I almost can't remember how he looks."

It was a drastic change - his parents divorced, the move from the farm to the city, a new school and then his father's death that deeply affected him.

Soon, with all of his being, David began to search for a way to help him with his hurt. That's when someone mentioned to him how you feel "high" when you do drugs. So he began to really look for drugs. He tried to find out who used them and where they hung out. Shortly after trying pills, pot and hash, he began to buy them regularly.

"When I was 15 years old I stopped taking them by the mouth and started snorting them" - quickly adding ' "it's far more potent that way and it affects you more quickly...money to buy drugs with wasn't a problem for me. It wasn't hard to get. The man my mom had remarried wasn't rich, but he definitely wasn't poor. The allowances I got I used to buy drugs with instead of clothes or other things. My sister and I kept it secret that we were getting high and so our parents kept giving us good allowances."

It seems like David will never forget a Jethro Tull rock concert that he attended. "I had snorted some drugs, smoked a lot of pot and hash and was drinking beer until I was really high." He remembers, "I felt really strange. All I remember is being sat down by some friends and the chair began to fall backwards...3 days later I woke up in the intensive care unit of the hospital with a heart monitor attached to me. I was in serious condition and it had been getting worse but the doctors worked hard to save me." "Later there was a special agreement between me and my parents," David grins. "I was promised that if I quit taking drugs they'd allow me to let my hair grow long. I promised and I didn't keep it. My hair grew down to my waist."

Wanderings and its Moral

A different stage began in David's life: wandering through different churches. He was in and out of many churches during his search for the true morals and values. He considered the members of traditional Christianity as hypocrites. Those churches had failed to fulfill him.

After failing to find what he was searching for, David came in contact with Hinduism - the Hare Krishnas. He was attracted by its exotic appeal, the incense and vegetarian members of that cult. During a special Krishna festival in Philadelphia, he met a famous leader in their movement who wanted him to become his personal aide and travel all over. David decided not to join because he didn't want to be separated from his family. "I believed in Hare Krishna," David says assured, "I loved the religion because it was physically and spiritually attractive and I was devoted to it. I engaged in their ceremonies, singing and dancing, chanting their mantras and going into a group trance. But even though I knew their religion didn't accept drugs, I still used them, though they were unaware of it. I was around 17 when I began to shoot up drugs."

After awhile David began to seriously question his involvement with the Krishnas. He feared he had been wrong, had been misled in going to the guru. His amount and use of drugs began to dramatically increase, going to the bars every night of the week, getting high and drunk, began to take its toll on his body. By then it seems he had lost any spiritual strength he had.

"God Help Me"

"I really began to think about God," he says. "Suddenly I began to think about him seriously and wondered if I had been deceived or enlightened in Krishna. I begged God to lead me into all the truth. I had prayed about it many times and then one of the greatest miracles in my life happened" - he explains while getting down on his knees to show how he had been praying. "All I remember is that I was purposely praying to the God of the Bible and really hoped that somehow He would answer my prayer. Then it was like a hot brand was put upon my forehead. Two words were forcibly impressed upon my mind: "FORSAKE HINDUISM!" Then I actually wondered whether it was my subconscious that gave me those words. I turned to my Bible that was beside me and, unintentionally, opened it up to Psalms 115:4-8 - David's holding his Bible and reading it out loud: "Their idols are silver and gold; the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not; They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like them; so is every one that trusts in them." "After that I didn't need any further proof to know that it had truly been from God. That same day I burned all my Hindu books, beads, posters...".

"Dirty needles"

The drugs caused David's condition to continually deteriorate. Everyone told him that he was destroying himself. He knew himself that he was going to die, but he wasn't able to help himself.

"All that horrible time" - David says with a shaky voice - "I really wanted to be free. I didn't want to be addicted to drugs. But I also felt that there wasn't anything in this world worth living for. I didn't have any power but I still tried to get off drugs. I ended up throwing away my needles, hoping to stop, but later I'd turn around and go back and take them out and use them." Even though his needles had been in the garbage, dirty and broken, he said he still used them up to a dozen times, even though you're only supposed to use them once! "I was taking the needles in my frustration and would bash them against the wall so that I couldn't use them, but later I'd attempt to until it hurt me and I was bleeding. That's when I realized that I was addicted." David says, thinking out loud: "All I knew was that only GOD could help me, not man!"

David experienced "almost sure death" another time, besides the rock concert, when he was 18, and was in his bedroom mainlining some drugs. His mother was home at the time but was unaware of what was happening to her son. "Suddenly everything seemed strange to me" - David says trying to remember - "the music started sounding really weird...Later I woke up in the hospital and a doctor informed me that I had damaged my liver and that it was a miracle that I still had a brain and could think clearly."

Goodbye and Good Riddance

"Those were my times of wandering in the wilderness. God delivered me and took me out of Egypt into His light" - David says reflecting on his past. "The inner struggle between good and evil wearied me after awhile. I had been asking God what I was supposed to do. I asked for power because I didn't have any strength and none of the churches I encountered had the power necessary to deliver me from drugs. At the time I opened up my Bible unintentionally to Isaiah 45. The first verse that caught my eye was verse 2: "I will go before thee and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron...". That verse succeeded to do for David what he, of himself, had been unable to do for years.

"No more drugs!" David said and that is how he finally managed to be free from drugs. "Now I felt ready to begin to listen to God. Sometimes you have to first live in darkness before you can appreciate the light. I knew I wanted to live God's ways of life so I said good-riddance to drugs and to my old friends and bad influences - to all of that I said goodbye and good riddance!"

"Drugs are a Lie"

Shortly afterwards, David discovered the Worldwide Church of God through their Plain Truth magazine. The ideas in it seemed so logical to him and not like all the others he had known.

Soon David was one of its excited believers. After a whole year of observing Sabbath and all the holy days of Israel, he was baptized as a brother into the Church.

One of the Worldwide Church of God beliefs is that there will be a politico-military mess that will take place by next year. In their opinion, Germany, and maybe even Italy, will attempt to conquer the world. That attempt will ignite a world war that will take two thirds of the world's population, but that afterwards there will begin a true peace for planet Earth. The members of the Worldwide Church of God will be among those that survive and they believe that eventually their beliefs will be accepted by all the Earth.

The doctrines of the Church are all biblically based. Besides the above-mentioned prophecy there is another one that states the world leaders will sit in Jerusalem and that Israel will become a "Light to all nations." The whole world will have one government.

David is writing a book, from his biblical research, about the two prophets who will prepare the way for the days to come. David is also contemplating about writing an autobiography. He already knows what he would call it - Wanderings! He's convinced that he has a lot of experience to give to others, and he's very interested in warning those who might consider abusing drugs. "Drugs are a lie" - he says - "and it would be a lot better if people would learn form the experience of others. Today I'm alive, very alive - and I feel I have a lot to live for!"

NBC Nightly News - Reverse Mortgage Ripoff?

I just finished reading an article about a network news program that did a negative report on reverse mortgages, citing an incident in Los Angeles of a senior borrower who was talked into buying annuities that did not mature until the year 2033 without a substantial penalty. I saw the actual Nightly News piece with Tom Costello. I was very concerned with the piece because I saw that they interviewed a woman identified as Robin Talbert with the AARP.

I have to believe that only part of Ms. Talbert's comments were represented in the piece on the program as her comments stated "We're all living longer and you don't want to outlive that equity in your home to which the piece cut away immediately to Mr. Costello who added Because the bank could then take the home. Ms. Talbert is absolutely correct, and the AARP champions all things for seniors, but they are extremely aware of how reverse mortgages operate and Mr. Costello's remarks are done in a way to mischaracterize reverse mortgages.

This is the type of misinformation and misreporting that we have been running into for several years now. While I do not know all of the borrower's circumstances in this particular situation and I always get extremely angry when I hear of any mortgage professionals who do not keep the borrower's best interests at heart, it is not the Reverse Mortgage that is the rip off here, it was the end use of the funds.

The notion that the bank will take the borrower's home when her equity is gone is just plain wrong and bad reporting. The whole idea behind the reverse mortgage and one of the reasons the borrowers pay mortgage insurance is that no matter what happens to the equity, the borrower will never make another house payment and the borrower or the borrower's heirs will never owe more than the property is worth, regardless of what the equity position does. The loan is set up so that you own your property, not the bank.

If the Nightly News or Mr. Costello had researched reverse mortgages more thoroughly, they would have learned that if the borrower had chosen what is known as the tenure option or payments for life, she would have received those payments for the rest of her life so long as she continued to occupy the property and the bank would never then take the home when the senior outlived the equity as the report leads the listener to believe.

I think it is very important for seniors to not only go through the required counseling, but also to enlist the assistance of their loved ones or trusted financial advisors whenever available. In this piece, the borrower said she didn't really even need the money, she was doing just fine without it. Her daughter was with her during the television interview and maybe if she had been with her during the reverse mortgage process, she could have helped her to keep from getting the loan in the beginning. Another piece of advice, don't ever go into the process with someone who is only looking to sell you another product or service.

If you don't need a reverse mortgage and someone is trying to sell you one so that you can buy something else, or you do need one for living expenses and then someone tries to tell you that you should put the money into something else instead, find a reverse mortgage specialist who is only looking to help you fulfill your reverse mortgage needs. Many people have used reverse mortgages as retirement tools but make sure that your use of your funds is from your careful plan and decisions, not from someone elses salesmanship.

Reverse Mortgages can be a very viable retirement tool and I've seen them help many senior borrowers. Like almost anything, they can be abused but if you take the time to research the products and the people with whom you are working, the reverse mortgage can be the difference to many seniors of staying in their homes or having to leave; between barely surviving and aging in grace and dignity.

I would hate to see a senior borrower avoid this viable option that may be badly needed due to bad or partial reporting.

Nintendo Wii - Download Free Games

With the cost of games going up and up, many gamers don't realize that a large part of what they are paying for is the packaging that comes with the game. Those fancy booklets push up the cost to the manufacturer and hence the price gamers are paying. There is good news though! For many titles you are now able to buy the game online and download it right to your Wii console ready to play. No trip to the shops required.

Many people automatically think that downloading games is illegal, but fortunately there are now many places online where you can pay to download games, music and films to your Wii completely legally. This form of distribution has been used for PCs for a long time with the steam platform for games, and services like iTunes for music. Consoles have lagged behind but are now beginning to catch up which is great news.

There have been predictions in the past that before long all games will be bought over the internet and downloaded straight to your PC or console. That time is still some way off, mainly due to internet speeds still not being reliably high enough for some people. However it is almost certain that in the future all games will be downloaded online, which is why console companies are starting to get in on the market now.

If you want Wii download free games, you may be out of luck however as most free download sites are illegal. There are many subscription based sites though that charge a small monthly fee in return for downloads, and these are a much better option. These same sites often also allow you to download movies, TV shows and more.

Manifesting Your Desires Through Mind Science

I have written recently about the power of the primary creative Quantum Sound Frequency, or MindSound, "Ah". Now I want to share an even more powerful MindSound for manifestation: Ara Kara.

Ara Kara is a very special quantum sound frequency. When we examine the syllables of this MindSound, we notice first that all of the vowels are the same - "Ah". Each consonant uses the power of the "Ah" Quantum Sound Frequency as it's base. But the sound has been augmented with certain other consonants now. "Ah" is added to "Ra", giving more fire and power to the sound. "Ra" is the sound of fire. It adds more energy and stimulation to the sound, quickening it. The we have "Ka" added to "Ra". Dr. Baskaran Pillai, who was the developer of the Ah Mind Process, tells us that "Ka" is the sound of the first principle of matter. It is a sound that quickens the precipitation of thought into material existence. "Ra" is added to the sound "Ka" to again give it more power and to further quicken it's manifesting effect.

The MindSound "Ara Kara" is one of the most potent tools that we have been given for thought manifestation. This Quantum Sound Frequency will clear the mind of limiting concepts. It clears the concept of limitation itself. This MindSound has been referred to by Dr. Pillai as an "impossibility buster". It eliminates the concept of impossibility from our minds, enabling us to think outside of the box to which we have been confining our thinking.

Through the running of Mind Process with "Ara Kara" we can increase the speed of our manifestations tremendously. "Ara Kara" speeds up the vibration of the body-mind, lifting it beyond the lower vibrations that have previously limited it. It brings in more light and energy.

If you have any doubt about the power and the distinct patterns, patterns of both form and behavior, that are created by sounds These patterns can be thought of in terms of both outward form and behavior. Your mind and the resulting form and behavior that you exhibit to the world, are a direct product of the sounds that make up your thoughts. Mind is really nothing but a bunch of sounds. Change the sounds that make up your thinking and you will change your world. Behaviors, moods, illness, health, intelligence or ignorance are all the result of the quality of the sounds that are

How can I learn to do use these sounds as a Mind Process?

For the "Ah" sound, sit quietly in a comfortable upright position. You can close your eyes for better focus if it helps. You may do the sound silently or out loud. This sound is about the feeling and expression of joy and joyful creative energy, so enjoy your recitation of "Ah" rather than just doing it mechanically.

To begin, focus on the area around your navel center. Feel the energy as you repeatedly say "Aaaaahhhhh". Continue the sound as you slowly raise the energies from the navel center into your pineal gland (third eye--the point between your two eyebrows). Let the sound penetrate your pineal gland as you feel the energies in your pineal gland. As you continue the chant. Now bring in a visual image of what you wish to create at the pineal gland, as you continue the sound. Then, just enjoy the emotional satisfaction of your manifestation, and end the sound.

For "Ara Kara", simply repeat the sound. While all manifesting relies on joyful creative emotion for this Mind Process you are not specifically trying to move your internal energy. To benefit from the Ara Kara mind process you can just focus on the sound and simply repeat it. Email me your results, I have seen fantastic results in myself and others. I will be publishing these in a followup article.

The Ten Most Poisonous Spiders

Spiders are either loved or hated by the world's population. We appreciate them for their ability to catch other pests, kill them and eat them, but at the same time, there's that "gross-out" factor that many people cannot stand to have. Whether the spiders are small or large, they bring chills to some and celebration to others. They are found in and outside of the home and can even be poisonous. Here is a short list of the ten most poisonous spiders found in the United States.

1. Brown Recluse Spider - found across the United States, predominantly in the South. Venom from this spider can cause injuries of tissue loss and necrosis.

2. Black Widow Spider - Found outdoors and in sheds and cluttered areas in basements and crawl spaces. Bites can cause headaches, nausea, vomiting, hypertension and abdominal pain. There were anti-venoms developed in 1956 for bites from these spiders.

3. Hobo Spider- Normally found in some of the north western states, this spider is usually found at ground level and below (in basements). Bites will blister and break open. Symptoms include headache, nausea, fatigue, weakness, temporary memory loss, and even vision impairment.

4. Grass Spider - Found mostly in the Pacific Northwest, these spiders have a low risk to humans.

5. Female Mouse Spider - Both the male and female mouse spiders normally won't bite unless provoked. Male spiders will tend to bite before the female, and their fangs are rather large and produce a very painful bite. It's important to seek medical attention immediately. These spiders are ground dwellers and burrow up to 3 feet into the ground.

6. Male Mouse Spider - Can be found in both coastal and drier habitats. Symptoms include tingling around the mouth and tongue, facial muscle twitching, nausea, vomiting, profuse sweating, salivation and shortness of breath.

7. Black House Spider - While not lethal, black house spiders' bites are poisonous. People who have been bitten have experienced pain, sweating, muscular pains, headaches, and vomiting. First aid should be sought immediately.

8. Wolf Spider - Like the Black House Spider, the wolf spider is poisonous, but not lethal. If provoked, the spider will bite freely. If a child or elder is bit, seek medical attention immediately.

9. Female Trap-door spider - Trap door spiders present a non-toxic bit to humans and aren't very aggressive. They rarely bite, but if so, it can be very painful.

10. Garden Orb-weaving spider - These spiders present a non-toxic venom to humans. They rarely bite, and can be found in garden areas around the home. Their webs can be 6 feet or more in size and can be found between buildings or shrubs.

Bottle Collectors Often Make Large Blue Recycle Bins Unnecessary

We all try to do our part to beautify the environment and of course recycle our aluminum cans, empty bottles, milk and juice cartons and newspapers. It gives us a feeling of civic pride and personal achievement as we proudly transport this protected form of refuse out the door of our residence and outside to the appropriately labelled garbage receptacle. We are doing our part to make a difference in the world.

Municipalities apportion huge sums of taxpayer money to ensure that the familiar blue containers are perched right along side the more traditional form of trash bin. Each container has its own line of refuse to contend with and handle. The familiar recycle logo is boldly emblazoned on the outside surface of the blue industrial sized receptacle.

There is a group of people who on a daily basis monitor both types of refuse containers and who are able to eke out a decent living by removing the recycled material from the receptacle, taking it in to the local recycling centers and receiving cash payment for their efforts.

These individuals are the more industrious and financially aggressive street people who have their own daily collection schedules meant to coincide with the dropping off of refuse in both styles of bins.

They have their own specialized tools and devices which allows them to effortlessly open a blue garbage bag, remove the contents, inspect the nature of the item tossed away and then place the item in a special container (usually located on their aluminium push cart or bicycle ) for easy transport to a nearby collection center.

I spoke with a few of these unofficial recycling collectors and they told me that on a good week they can make $300 to $400 tax free income. The type of work is not the most desirable but the income is acceptable to most of these people.

There have been efforts to have the recycle containers play a musical tune whenever someone tosses a recycled item in the container. In Sweden the bin thanks the person for doing such a good job.

The recycle bins serve as unofficial clearing houses for the bottle collectors to gather their presorted booty and head for the nearest recycling center. I suppose they should be applauded for their efforts and aggressiveness.

Municipal leaders should realize that a majority of the outdoor collection receptacles provide a meager livelihood for these folks and should cut back on their efforts to place more and more musical garbage containers in our neighbourhoods.

The one issue that needs clarification involves the policing of the bins and the issuing of tickets to those people obviously thwarting the law and making a living off its avails. In the long run why punish homeless people for trying to make ends meet the best way they know how.

Travel Predictions For 2010 - Unexpectedly Good News!

January is traditionally the least expensive travel month of the year (and the coldest!). My suggestion is to stop worrying about taking your holiday decorations down and just run away for a week in the warm sunshine - sip a Margarita or two and scrunch your toes in the sand. You'll find incredible deals for all-inclusive Caribbean resorts on sites like CheapCaribbean.com, AppleVacations.com and TravelZoo.com. On selected weeks this winter you can vacation for a week at an all inclusive resort in Mexico or the Dominican Republic for just over $1,000 per person including air!
January also brings "Wave Week" from the cruise industry. The lowest cruise prices of the year are traditionally offered during Wave Week promotions. Keep a keen eye of sites like VacationsToGo.com, TravelZoo.com and Cruise.com to snag some deeply discounted cruises this winter.
It will be very hard to find a destination cheaper than Las Vegas in 2010. The combination of new resorts just opening (City Center, Trump, and Hard Rock), coupled with a dramatic reduction in convention business means luxury resorts are discounting like never before. It's likely you'll be able to find deluxe Las Vegas rooms priced less than anywhere else in the country. Combine a cheap hotel room with all those low cost buffets and the spectacular stage shows, and you have the makings of a memorable vacation. Be sure to visit TravelZoo.com to find deeply discounted show tickets.
Where ever you travel, price resorts and services you've never been able to afford before - you might be pleasantly surprised at how much they've been discounted. Four and five star resorts are regularly offering 30-50% off when you stay additional nights. (Stay 2 nights get 1 free etc.) Sandals Resorts are continuing their 65% off sale into 2010. Resorts are throwing in the extras like complimentary breakfast; kids eat and stay free, spa services and even free rounds of golf. The airlines also have more room at the top. Business and First Class seats will see big promotions during 2010 as corporations set travel policies restricting travel to coach class. It will also be a great time to try to use your frequent flyer miles to obtain seating in Business or First Class as more seats will be open.
Watch for Europe to put out the welcome matt with gusto this spring. With passengers reluctant to take international journeys after the Christmas bomber incident, Europe will feel the pinch more than usual. Keep an eye out for sites like Gate1Travel.com, GoToday.com, and VacationsToGo.com to offer terrific pricing for trips to Europe. We'll also likely see fabulous prices on European cruises. They have a short season to fill their cabins and they'll be running great specials to get you on board.
There's a growing trend in vacation lodging that is expanding by the day - homes, villas, condos and apartments for lease by the day, week or month. Folks who have been unable to sell their vacation properties have listed them on 'For Rent By Owner' sites, and as the volume of choices increases, the deals and specials escalate as well. Check out the deals page at VacationRentals.com to begin your search.
For anyone with a free spirit who just wants a bed to sleep in, the internet has opened a whole new world of beds and couches for rent (and many times for free). The popular site CouchSurfing.com is a great place to begin - they have communities for everyone from college students to retired adventurers.
2010 is very likely to be a big year for road trips. Gas prices are expected to remain fairly stable and airline attitudes will dampen our desire to fly away. It will be a great year to tune in to regional bed and breakfast associations and watch for seasonal promotions. For New England, become a member of the "Inn Crowd" with deals on the NewEnglandInnsandResorts.com site. For the West Coast, you'll find gorgeous inns and lodges at UniqueInns.com/specials.

2010 will be filled with opportunities to venture out and meet new people and experience wonderful places. Save your pennies and add some adventure to your life!

How To Create A News Blog

OK. I'm going to assume that you don't want to become CNN overnight. Just that you want to set up a simple blog that delivers news to your readers about a subject that will interest them.

There are a couple of ways that you can create a news blog:

Search out the news yourself, type it up in your own words and post a blog entry
Find one or more news feeds for your subject and include them in your blog

The second method has the advantage that other people create the content for you, so you don't have to be constantly at your computer, searching out news and commenting on it.

The disadvantage of the second method is that you're at the mercy of other people's news feeds.

If they don't update their news, you don't get any fresh news on your blog.

A third way that you could consider to make a news blog is to subscribe to Google News Alerts.

In a lot of ways, this gives you the best of both worlds. You get notified on a regular basis when something newsworthy happens in your subject area. You can then go off and either write a few paragraphs about that news or just write one or two sentences and then link off to the site with the main news article.

Creating a news blog can be a good way to make sure that you always have lots of fresh ideas coming your way. Sometimes the hardest thing about writing a blog is deciding what to write about next. If you concentrate on news items, other people have done the research for you and you can concentrate on adding your own "slant" to the news.

In the offline world, there are whole magazines that do just that. They provide a summary of the week's news. The Week is an excellent example of this (and highly recommended if you want to keep up with the main news in less than an hour a week). The Economist does the same thing but in a more specialist area.

Which means that if you create a news blog in your subject area, you should have a steady flow of both news and readers.

Speed Reading News Articles and News Content Online

Speed reading is getting to be a skill that is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity and a requirement for living in the information age. This is because the information flow from newspapers, TV, and the Internet comes at us and bombards us so quickly that we will drown if we cannot keep up. Believe it or not you may already be a speed reader and not even realize it. And luckily the mass media has helped us in our quick intake of information.

They have cut out much of the plot in the news articles and even a TV has the various segments down to three or four minutes. This is because the attention span of Americans has dwindled to such a low amount, that if they don't keep you entertained and up with the chaos and controversy of the moment they realize that you will tune out. That's all your attention span is worth these days.

Perhaps, it is for this reason that we are all forced into speed reading in real-time classes. Did you know that the average news article online is only 200 words, this is because those people who are in the online media realize that the average Internet surfer clicks in and out of a new page every 30 seconds, and if they are not done reading the article they click out anyway just have a habit.

Well, wouldn't it be nice if you could read an entire page and 30 seconds, just so you can keep up with yourself? The fact is you can with a little practice, the same practice you've been giving yourself as you been clicking in and out, page after page as you surf online.

You should read the first paragraph and the last paragraph and then scan the center of the article for tidbits of information, facts and figures, names, and locations. And then you should start at the top again and scan down to the bottom, that's about all I can tell you in this article, I've already had you for over a minute and I'm surprised you even have read this far. Please consider all this.

Financial & Insurance Trade Magazine Publication News - Broker World Magazine Charms Brokers

The quantity of financial and insurance trade magazine publications increases yearly. Broker World Magazine remains the premier insurance news magazine for independent brokers. See why independent brokers are loyal to Broker World insurance magazine for leading content news in the insurance and financial industry trades.

Some trade magazines are devoted to members of a certain insurance or financial association, thereby biasing details presented to conform to association ideals. Other news journals are devoted to a certain segment of the insurance sales market, or promote sophisticated financial principles to both regular agents and independent brokers. Broker World is ideally designed for all brokers and mainly supported by the advertising of brokerage orientated insurance companies and independent marketing organizations.

To clarify matters, some trade words and meanings often become blurred. The fuzzy terms with distorted implications are "agents", "brokers", "advisers", and "news content."

AGENTS Typically, captive to one insurer, agent turnover is a major concern. Since only 7 out of 100 agents reach their fourth anniversary, some then become professional enough to broker. Therefore, the Broker World magazine phrase of ideas for life and health professionals holds true meaning.

BROKERS This is a licensed agent who at least occasionally places business outside of one main insurer. These producers who currently number 480,000 in the United States could be further divided into two groups. Semi-independent agents are representatives under contract with a main company, yet place cases with one or more other providers.

Independent brokers decide to represent often up to a dozen insurance companies, have their own office space, and rely 100% on their personal selling abilities. Insurance brokers like those subscribing to Broker World Magazine, average 7.6 years experience and commonly are contracted with four total insurance and financial companies.

ADVISORS Until the average industry experience level of 4.3 years is bypassed, not enough knowledge or selling skills are obtained to proclaim yourself a financial advisor or insurance expert. There is one association that labels newbie insurance agents trainees as financial advisors. This same association points its news information to promote captive career agent/advisors to stay strictly with one company. Yet their advertisers differently change the concept within the ad messages. The advertising entices agents to look at brokerage style offers extensively. No wonder why career agents that endure, prefer becoming brokers.

BROKER WORLD This monthly trade magazine supports the brokerage concept from the onset. Cathy Fritz, the associate editor, has ensured advertisers that their subscribers are mainly brokers. Whereas the association magazine, one of its competitors, has five times the news recipients and not many more brokers. Company and independent brokerage firms are often unknowingly hitting a small fraction of the intended broker audience.

NEWS CONTENT What is inside the guts of the competing magazines other than an overload of ads? All fail by catering too much to prominent company leaders as being information gurus. To be fair to Broker World, there is name and picture emphasis given to brokerage group members. Still missing from all is what the brokers really want. They want and need practical tips, tricks, hints, and new ideas, from slightly above average producers where income increases of 20% annually may occur.

Broker World gets my unsolicited nod as Financial & Insurance Trade News Magazine of the Year.

Online College Offers Flexibility Paired With Credibility

Online college courses require commitment and self discipline-traits that many members of the military already hold. And the flexibility that's inherent with on-line degree programs can prove a welcome constant for soldiers deployed into service or transferred to another base. Continuing education during off-duty time is voluntary and is often free, and experts say there are several benefits to it.

"Voluntary education programs help members improve their mission performance, prepare members for greater responsibility and enhance their professional, as well as their personal, potential," Education Technician Lori Popp of the Lifelong Learning section of Marine and Family Services aboard North Carolina's Camp Lejeune told the Jacksonville Daily News in July 2009.

The Servicemen's Readjustment Act, also known as the GI Bill, was signed in to law in 1944 in part as a means of offering college scholarships to anyone who served in uniform. By 1947, veterans accounted for nearly half of all college students in the United States, according to a Time Magazine article. A Post 9/11 GI Bill has since made as much as 100 percent tuition available to service members on active duty after Sept. 10, 2001. The Post 9/11 Bill covers graduate and undergraduate degrees as well as vocational or technical training provided by approved institutions and provides stipends for books and housing.

Members of the military can gain academic credit for military training and experience. The U.S. Army reportedly partners with more than 1,900 community colleges and universities that accept military training credits from soldiers pursuing a college education during or after service. Many bases are said to feature satellite branches of local, accredited universities and, for many members of the military, online college offerings might be the only option.

Online classes involve obtaining 80 to 100 percent of a course's content online, according to the Sloan Consortium, and distance education typically attract students who otherwise might not be able to attend classes at a traditional campus. Lori Popp told the Jacksonville Daily News that technological advances in distance education now make it easier for deployed service members to continue their education. The consortium, comprised of organizations and institutions committed to quality online education, recently released the results of a study entitled "Learning on Demand: Online Education in the United States." Between the falls of 2007 and 2008, the study noted, the number of online students increased by 17 percent, to 4.6 million.

More than 1,000 deployed Marines and sailors are benefiting from tuition assistance, Popp told the Daily News. And an October article in The Chronicle of Higher Education described online courses as a "boon for soldiers who want to participate in college despite geographic displacement." The story, about a professor and National Guardsman who continued teaching online classes in economics during a tour of duty in Iraq, reported that soldiers keep occupied during stretches down time by working, reading, exercising, playing video games and watching movies. Many soldiers and other members of the military also enroll in online college or graduate school courses during deployment, The Chronicle piece noted.

What Is Conservatism?

According to Wikipedia

Conservatism - (its most usual meaning)-political philosophies that favour tradition.

Social Conservatism - the view that government should play a role in encouraging or enforcing traditional values or behaviors.

My definition is different than the above but more closely aligned with the first. Social conservatism is what the democrats and the left want to paint all the right which is totally false.

I believe conservatives I know want the government out of our lives yet want to teach and encouraging traditional values or behaviors to our families and expect the same from the friends we choose and politicians that represent us.

So what is Conservatism?

Is there a Middle conservative, or what determines when you enter liberal territory or far enough left you label yourself a democrat. I truly do not know or understand the definition of a democrat or what they stand for.

It came to me today that the closest a man can be in line with the 10 commandments, the most conservative he could be. In a scale that would be from 1 - 10, being totally in line with the 10 commandments you would be the most farthest right one could possibly be. However since humans are not perfect and never will be, the furthest right a man could be, would be a 7.5.

Political science often credits British politician Edmund Burke with many of the ideas now called Conservative, "Conservatism is not so much a philosophy as an attitude, a constant force, performing a timeless function in the development of a free society, and corresponding to a deep and permanent requirement of human nature itself."

So since I am not perfect nor claim to be I rate myself a 6. Now it seems that the media defines Bush and other Republicans evil, uneducated, passionless, and not ready for prime time. This is sorta funny to me because I would rate Bush and Perry a 3, and McCain a 2.

Where do democrats fall on my scale. Well that is what I asked myself. Looking at how the republicans have voted in the past 10 years on the important issues that effect us most closely they have voted on this scale on average about a score of 3.

The fact is liberalism does not make a mark on this scale. Liberalism is now socialism and surprisingly they are admitting it. Boxer has clearly stated her rating as a socialist as well as Pelosi, and her companion in the senate. They do not even recognize our laws and their responsibility to represent the American people. I sometimes don't feel that California is part of the US of A when I read the court rulings that are coming out of the California political machines.

It was not that long ago Ronald Reagan showed us there were still Passionate Conservatives in the Beautiful State of California. I am fortunate to travel to California at least 4 times a year and I am here to report we have a state that would rate as a 3rd world country. This is sad but true!

If my philosophies that favour traditions such as honesty, honor, respect, trustworthy, loyal and all the rest, yet the elitist liberal media wants to label me hateful, racist, behind the times, I DON'T CARE.

News Regarding Vista's Forthcoming Replacement

News about Vista's forthcoming replacement has come to my awareness. The next version of Windows is so far called Windows Seven, the codename for Microsoft programs, has a tendency of changing throughout the development of new programs, for an example Vista used to be named Longhorn. The version of "Vista" is to be released in mid 2010, as announced by Microsoft themselves.

The important news is that as far as development efforts are concerned Vista is a closed book; Microsoft has begun moving towards their next great operating system, this of course leaves Vista to be a very slow paced project, further development or implementations to Vista, will be less or almost none existing.

At the time the Vista service pack is planned to get released in first quarter of 2008, alongside with this project in work, Microsoft has started building the contours of Windows 7. As earlier mentioned in this article, has announced the release date of Vistas replacement, the move is a deliberate attempt to try and force users into using Vista. Microsoft are currently working on implementing wireless network advances and include programs like Direct Connect, as component of the Windows 7 server edition.

It will be very exciting to see what kind of new implement Microsoft will deliver to the next operating system, lets hope it will be as good or better than the newest current version of Windows, Windows Vista. And to see if new nice GUI is added once again.

Additional Vista news will be coming soon.

Online Classified Apartment Ads Vs Newspaper Classified Ads For Your Apartment

When I started posting online classified apartment ads, I remember having high vacancy and numerous vacant rental units. I just remember wanting to get rid of the vacant apartments to reduce my vacancy.

I thought of all types of advertising, but the only problem was that I didn't have enough time and money to carry out traditional newspaper classifieds properly.

My money was tight and I was operating on a small budget. Traditional classified advertising wasn't an option and I couldn't afford much more than a for rent yard sign.

I was pondering how to advertise my available apartments on a shoe string budget. It didn't make sense to pay all of that money on newspaper classified ads with nothing to show for it.

Through my search, I discovered an excellent way to get around my lack of advertising dollars. The plan was to place free classified ads online with free classified ad sites.

Some of these online classified apartment ad sites even let you upload photos of my rental property and unit. So I began to place my classified rental ads online at these sites.

Some of my associates and friends would even advertise their rental units and gain as a result. The newspaper isn't effective in advertising and generating quality leads.

Online classifieds are far superior the newspaper classifieds in my opinion. The audience that is attracted to the online classified ads dwarfs traditional newspaper classifieds.

Renters could view my rental ad across the country or across the world. Many landlords and real estate investors ignore this free and cost effective way to advertise their rentals.

I think if something is free, especially online classified apartment ads, it should be at least investigated, because many good free things do not really exist these days. The internet and online classified ads provides this potential to enter the world of classified ads as never before.

2003-2006 Republican Congress Vs 2007-2010 Democrat Congress

The economic malaise from which we now suffer was caused by Democrats.

Democrats gave us the sub-prime mortgage crisis and the fierce resistance, to reining in its abuses, leading to the housing collapse, bringing about the collapse of the economy.

All bills for raising revenue (thus spending) must originate in the House of Representatives. Democrats have controlled the House and Senate, since January 2007. Republicans controlled both from 2003 through 2006.

The Bush Tax Cuts Had No Bearing Whatsoever on Today's Recession

-It is Impossible For A Tax Cut To Hurt The U.S. In Any Way, Unless:

-A Nation is UNDER TAXED to meet essential services

-Does any economically literate person believe Americans are under taxed?

-Revenues are Never The Problem in America, Excessive Spending Always is

-America does not need 1 More Penny For Essential Services

-It does need to cut the cost of the federal government as a % of GDP (the national income) from 25% to 16%, over 8 years.

Limiting spending to 16% would pull all that capital back into the private sector, where all net wealth creation and job creation takes place. Per capita income would soar for doing exactly what each worker is doing right now. This exact principle is what gave us soaring growth in the 1990's.

Entitlements/Welfare must be reined in. "All" able bodied men and women must perform a service meaningful to taxpayers as a first requirement to be eligible for welfare. Families must take in and support all welfare recipients in most cases.

________The Bush Tax Cuts________

-Not a single person was hurt or treated unfairly by the Bush Tax Cuts

-The highest percentage cuts went to the lowest bracket taxpayers-33%, the smallest cuts to the highest bracket-12%.

-All "net taxpayers" were helped from the Bush tax cuts, until Democrats took control of congress, in January, 2007

-Every vital area of the economy made strong gains through 2006, the strongest by the lowest income Americans--(CBO Study 1995-2005 )

_Disposable income was $1800+ higher, for every man woman and child by December 2006

"It is a paradoxical truth that tax rates are too high and tax revenues are too low and the soundest way to raise the revenues in the long run is to cut the rates now." - President John F Kennedy Dec. 14th 1962

JFK has many quotes, citing free market principles. Every JFK quote is 100% consistent with the Bush tax cuts and are as free market/limited government oriented (or more so) than that of every one of today's Democrats; even more than many Republicans in congress today.

JFK'S quotes are also entirely consistent with the conclusions (along with the actual data) stated in this article.

http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39517

-Almost immediately after Democrats took control of congress, the economy started slowing, then very quickly tanked.

-Democrat forced legislation, starting with Jimmy Carter's Community Reinvestment Act, then expanded by Bill Clinton, then by threats and shameless intimidation by the Reno Justice Department, using ginned up data, led to the following:

-Democrat spending measures and strong armed support by Democrats to ACORN-led at the time by community activist Barack Obama

-Sub-prime mortgages forced on America by Democrats, ACORN and the Reno Justice department.

-Misuse and corruption of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by top Clinton Cronies, Raines, Gorelick, Johnson, etc.

No one boasted more about the great contribution to America of sub-primes, leading to Fannie and Freddie abuses, than Barney Frank and no one did more to block steps to avoid the collapse of the economy caused as a result of Fannie and Freddie's monstrous corruption, than Frank.

Now he's done a 180. Barney Frank has told Larry Kudlow, Fannie and Freddie should be abolished.

________Contrast Barney Frank-Then With Now________

See Barney Frank as early as 2004, praising the success of the sub-prime mess, as fellow Democrats ignore warnings by a federal regulator, even attacking the regulator as he warned the House Banking Commitee (Frank was the Ranking Democrat) as to what appeared to be a coming disaster, which is exactly what we got.

Frank is shown resisting attempts to rein in the whole sub-prime mess, while declaring its huge success, and subtly suggesting the callousness of Republicans. Frank's Democrat underlings, Maxine Waters, Gregory Meeks, Lacy Clay, Arthur Davis cast all kinds of aspersions at the federal regulator.

Learn Spanish: Top 3 Spanish News Sites

Reading the Spanish news is an excellent way to expand your Spanish vocabulary and improve your Spanish writing skills. There is an excellent range of Spanish news resources, covering a massive range of Spanish topics, and therefore you certainly won't get bored or run out of stuff to read. You can tailor your reading exactly to your Spanish needs and interests. This article recommends 3 Spanish news sites which offer a fantastic amount of interesting Spanish articles, as well as my top tips on how to make the most of the resources they offer.

1. The first site I'd recommend highly is RTVE.es. This is the home of the Spanish national television and radio online, and provides a huge wealth of useful Spanish articles, TV programmes and podcasts. The news articles are useful to help with Spanish reading although the main advantage is that the majority of articles come with a news video included - these generally last a minute or two and help you to improve your listening as well as reading. Making this association between spoken and written Spanish is essential to reach Spanish fluency.

However the television and radio programmes available on RTVE a la Carta are what sets the website apart as a Spanish learning resource. There is an archive of 4 minute news summaries with a written summary if you're short on time; live TV and radio if you want to just be listening in the background, and finally a huge number of full length TV and radio programmes. These are split into different categories and series so it is easy to find something that interests you. The news is probably the easiest of these to understand initially with excellent clear broadcasting so this is a good place to start. The documentaries offer more in depth vocab and analysis of different topics, and the soap operas such as 'Cuentame' and 'Amar en Tiempos Revueltos' are great for training your ear to understand everyday (and often opinionated!!!) Spanish.

2. El País is my second recommended Spanish news site. There are a great range of articles presenting the international news in Spanish language. The site itself splits the world into different sections and all the relevant news areas such as politics, economics, culture etc. There are also Spanish blogs and an opinion section so all in all there is no Spanish news site with more extensive international news coverage.

3. BBC Mundo is the third news site I would recommend. This has a huge number of videos and short news videos so you can dip in and out. The material is also more varied and often obscure, relating to all areas of culture in the Spanish speaking world. If you don't want to focus on Spanish news this website is a great way to fill your free time with interesting Spanish news.

There are of course many other Spanish reading resources out there and there is a collection available at http://www.topspanishtips.weebly.com
